Welcome to the Marseille soccer team for 11-year olds!

 

The first practice will be Friday Sept 10 at 5:15 PM at the BPC fields. There will be practice almost every Friday from 5:15 to 6:15. (Girls can attend a jamboree/clinic at 7:00 PM almost every Friday.) I am Liana‘s dad, John, and I‘ll be the primary coach. So far, we have Scott Morrison (Zoe‘s dad) and Alison Regan (Maria‘s mom) as the other co-coaches.

The first match will be on Sunday Sept 12. Come to the BPC Field at 1:00 PM
for practice before the match. We‘ll hand out uniforms at Sunday‘s practice, so please dress in a partial uniform and then you can put your jersey on.

10 matches are scheduled for Marseille, all on Sundays, starting between 11:00 AM and 2:00 PM. Please click on this link for the Marseille season schedule and list of players:

Review the rules for 11 year-olds: http://www.downtownsoccer.org/article/index.php?page_id=7. Kids must always wear shin guards. Please bring to every match and every practice shin guards, cleats(rubber tips or regular sneakers are OK), and a #4 ball. I usually buy at Modell‘s Sporting Goods, on Broadway north of Liberty Street.
