FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS
Q: When is the season?
The season begins the week of Labor Day in September and runs through late November.
Registration is from June 1st to June 30th. Late applications will be accepted only if spaces become available. We offer an online registration form on this site during the registration period and also distribute printed forms to selected downtown locations which are listed here. PS 89, 150, and 234
Q: What is the fee?
$95. After the registration period ends on June 30th, there is an additional $25 late fee.
Q: Is the league co-ed?
Yes.
Q: What is the age range?
6 to 17.
Q: Where are games played?
The Battery Park City fields along side the west side highway between Murray and Warren Streets, Pier 40 at Houston Street, Columbus Park in Chinatown, and the East River Park just below Grand Street alongside the East River.
Q: When do teams play?
Each team plays one game on the weekend. Teams with players aged 8 and older also play one game on a weeknight evening during the season. The schedule for the 2010 season has not been set.
Q: When do teams practice?
Each team practices one time during the week after school subject to the coach‘s availability. The schedule for the 2010 season has not been set. In past seasons, the practice schedule was:
- Ages 6-7 on Wednesday at BPC ball field
- Ages 8-9 on Thursday at BPC ball field
- Ages 10-13 on Friday at BPC ball field
- Sr 14-17 on Friday evenings at Pier 40
